UPDATE: 8:45 p.m.
The second wildfire of the day in the South Okanagan was brought under control in less than two hours according to the BC Wildfire Service's fire tracker.
The fire west of Kaleden, was reported around 7 p.m. and never grew beyond a spot fire size of 0.009 hectares before it was deemed under control at 8:26 p.m.
An under control fire is one that is considered unlikely to spread beyond its current boundaries.

A second wildfire of the day has been reported southwest of Penticton.
On Tuesday, July 8, the fire located at Upper Sheep Creek is currently 0.009 hectares in size and suspected to be human-caused, according to BC Wildfire Service. It is considered out of control.
This fire is located southwest of Penticton, and north of Yellow Lake.
Earlier in the day, a fire 0.2 hectares in size eight kilometres northwest of the Apex Mountain Resort community sparked but has since deemed as being held.
