The Rivershed Society of BC is hosting an event featuring Bev Sellars of Xatsull First Nation, introducing the film The Spirit Who Swims June 26.

"Co-directed with Garry Tutte and produced with the late Hemas Kla-Lee-Lee-Kla (Chief Bill Wilson), the film is framed as a love manifesto to salmon. It highlights their spiritual and material importance to Indigenous peoples along the Fraser River, brought to life through vivid underwater cinematography and sweeping aerials. It’s a powerful call to rethink our relationship with the natural world," according to the Rivershed Society's event page.

The Rivershed Society of BC supports the protection and restoration of the Fraser River watershed throughout the province.
