Williams Lake is invited to rock out over Stampede weekend, with Arts on the Fly hosting a live rock music event at the Central Cariboo Arts Centre Sunday, June 29.
For those who don't feel the pull to country music, the arts centre will be the place to be, with Vancouver-area Dusty Pines as the headline act and local performers offering the 'alternate Stampede' option.
While the weekend is full of things to do, not everyone appreciates pop country music, so for those looking for a little more grit and a lot more electric guitar, the all-ages show will give those folks somewhere to kick up their Doc Martin-clad heels.
Dusty Pines is on tour in support of their debut album, From the Dawning Yaw of the Apocalypse.
Rhododendrum, a local band readying for their show at Arts on the Fly, new local band Overhand, and singer-songwriter M.Lund will all help warm up the crowd before the Dusty Pines take over the mic.
Tickets are $10 in advance at the Guitar Sellar, $15 at the door.
