The Water Wise program in Williams Lake will have displays set up at the RBC Royal Bank in Williams Lake to mark the day and provide information on ways to conserve water, a mini display to show how aquifers work, and tips for creating a Xeriscape garden that uses little water.

Renowned local Cariboo photographer Chris Harris will be on hand at the Cariboo Regional District Library Williams Lake Branch on Friday March 25 at 7 p.m. to share from his latest book Motherstone: British Columbia’s Volcanic Plateau. Harris will provide an overview on the process of going from an original idea to a finished book. Harris also has a show of his photographs at the Station House all this month.
Rafe Mair

Author and social commentator Rafe Mair and documentary film maker Damien Gillis will be in Williams Lake March 25 for a town-hall style presentation on their new online non-profit journal The Common Sense Canadian -- a voice for the public and environment.
Mair and Gillis are touring 30 B.C. communities and will be making their presentation in the Williams Lake secondary commons theatre from 7 to 9 p.m. on March 25.
The two-hour event will feature Gillis’ new short documentary on the proposed Enbridge pipeline to BC’s North Coast, called Oil in Eden, plus a key-note speech by Mair.
Bluegrass
