Williams Lake Studio Theatre prepping to raise curtain on Cinderella

Williams Lake Studio Theatre Society is nearing the debut of their latest production —Rodgers and Hammerstein’s Cinderella.

Set building sessions have been taking place this week, costume sessions were being led by Tanis Armstrong, and the actors have been practicing their lines in preparation for the opening night on Nov. 29.

The live musical theatre production of the beloved classic fairy tale is being directed by Sandi Alaric and will feature a cast of 30 actors. Kirsten Lyons will star as Cinderella. The production will run Wednesdays through Saturdays, Nov. 29 until Dec. 16. These will be evening shows with doors at 7 p.m., curtain at 7:30 p.m. Sunday matinee shows on Dec. 3 and Dec. 10 will have doors at 1:30 p.m and curtain at 2 p.m.

Tickets are $25 for adults, $22 for seniors, students and children for evening shows. They are $20 for all seats at the matinees. Performances will be at the Williams Lake Studio Theatre Society at 4100 Mackenzie Ave. N and ticket are available online via wlstudiotheatre.ca or at the Open Book.
