The 9th annual Baby Festival is coming up on Saturday, Nov. 18, welcoming babies born in 2023 and late 2022.

Agencies from around the region have partnered together and will have booths set up in the Gibraltar Room at 525 Proctor Street from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., providing resources and sharing programs in support of infant development.

It’s not only a great opportunity for parents to learn more, but to also ask questions they may have, such as baby sleep advice, when to start your baby on food, breastfeeding and more.

Carrie McCormack, the program coordinator for the Women’s Contact Society’s Child Care Resource and Referral Program (CCRR) notes the event is designed to connect parents with infants to the community, as well as programs like playgroups and services such as medical, literacy, infant massage and swimming programs.

Parents can expect to leave with a bag of goodies, including a cooler bag, diapers and a baby bottle.

The free event is hosted by the CCRR with funding from the province of B.C., and with support from the Early Childhood Development Network in Williams Lake and the Williams Lake and District Credit Union.

For more information, contact the Women’s Contact Society at ccrr@womenscontact.org or call 250-392-4118.
