Williams Lake seniors celebrate Christmas with pot luck dinner

Seniors in Williams Lake are inviting the community to a pot luck meal on Christmas and New Year's Eve

In a beautiful show of the holiday spirit, Williams Lake seniors are inviting the community in for Christmas dinner and New Year's Eve.

Organizers at the Seniors Recreation Centre in Williams Lake will open the doors to a social pot luck dinner on Christmas Day and New Year's Eve at 4 p.m., with dinner at 5 p.m.

The evening will end around 8 p.m. both nights and attendees are encouraged to bring their favourite dish and come early as seating is limited in the space.

"Everybody's welcome, all the seniors, please come, don't be alone," said Shelly Shobridge, one of the organizers. Attendees can come play cards, visit and enjoy some pot luck food.

Wednesday, Dec. 25 doors at 4 p.m., supper at 5 p.m.

Tuesday, Dec. 31, doors open at 4 p.m., supper at 5 p.m., ends around 8 p.m.

Williams Lake Seniors Activity Centre is located at 176 Fourth Avenue North in downtown Williams Lake.
