Mr. and Mrs. Santa Claus, their reindeer, horses, elves and helpers took to the streets of Williams Lake Saturday morning for the annual Winter Lights parade.
Although the weather was frosty, there was lots of good cheer as children waved at the parade participants, especially greeting Santa Claus with enthusiasm and excitement.
Led by the RCMP, the parade made its way from Boitanio Park down Borland Avenue and then left on Third Avenue North and right onto Oliver Street.
It culminated in front of the Elks Hall on First Avenue South.
From the parade, children of all ages made their way to the Potato House for photos with Santa, hot apple cider and Christmas cookies, and some live entertainment.
Kicking off the singing portion at Potato House was Angela Somer’s Angel Keys choir.
Here are some of the parade scenes taken by the Tribune.
