Students from Marie Sharpe headed to the administration building of School District 27 (SD 27) for the annual Halloween parade on Oct. 31, 2023.
However, instead of finding staff members, students entered a dark swamp, complete with Shrek, Donkey, the gingerbread man, Princess Fiona, three blind mice and many other mystical creatures.
Thankfully there were no battles between Shrek and Lord Farquaad, although the gingerbread man seemed nervous about losing his gumdrop buttons.
