The Women’s Contact Society and Downtown Williams Lake are partnering on a one-day conference for International Women’s Day.
On March 8, the event will include a number of micro-workshops for both the personal and professional development of women.
All of the micro-workshops and presentations will take place in Suite 202, 350 Barnard Street, in the Women’s Contact Society boardroom.
Each half hour info session will help give participants more tools to “accelerate their progress” to keep in line with Government of Canada’s International Women’s Day theme this year “Invest in Women: Accelerate Progress.”
So far the event includes Beverly Evans of Community Futures Cariboo Chilcotin, Bobby-Jo Kowalski from WorkBC, and a Downtown Williams Lake Female Business Owner Panel which will include Courtney Nerbas of Still North Design Co., Chrissie Gertzen of Poppy Home, Jazmyn Lyons and Joan Douillard of The Realm of Toys and The Nerd Room.
The conference is entirely free and does include lunch, but pre-registration is required.
For more information or to register, email info@womenscontact.org or call 250-398-5717 by March 5.
