Last week I travelled to Victoria for the province’s throne and budget speeches of 2011.

Editor: As an urban aboriginal organization that serves the whole community, we take exception to the statement made in regards to our organization by the Chamber of Commerce president Walt Cobb in his column on Nov. 18, 2010, published in the Tribune.

Forgive me for thinking that the minister of finance is supposed to be the minister of finance for the Province of British Columbia, not the liberal minister of finance caught between two premiers.

We are excited to hear about a couple of economic boosters this week. On Monday came the announcement that the old Sigurdson mill by Hanceville will be opened this week.

“The seasons change and so do we,” and thank goodness for that as it’s been a long winter on ranches in the Cariboo.
