UPDATE (9:40 a.m.): A detour is now available through 83 Mile Road to North Green Lake Road and then to North Bonaparte Road to Highway 97 at 70 Mile House.

Drive BC also put a reminder that certain routes in the province require winter tires or chains from Oct. 1 to March 31, or April 30 on select highways, mountain passes and rural routes in high snowfall areas.
