A 37-year-old man was arrested after an alleged assault in Boitanio Park on April 19.
RCMP issued a release detailing their response to the incident, which saw a 60-year-old man suffer minor injuries.
On April 19, at approximately 8:15 a.m., the Williams Lake RCMP said they received a report of the alleged assault, which lead to the arrest and release of a 37-year-old man believed responsible, pending charge approval.
RCMP said the investigation is ongoing and no further information will be released.
The release stated the RCMP are providing proactive foot patrols in Boitanio Park and have issued verbal warnings and liquor control and licensing act violation tickets to individuals found in violation.
The Williams Lake RCMP are requesting the public to report any suspicious activity to the local detachment at 250-392-6211.
