Two vehicles went into the ditch just past the East Wellington Road overpass and Nanaimo Parkway this afternoon, slowing traffic.

Crews were called to the scene 200 metres south of the overpass at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday, June 4, where a sports-utility vehicle and a truck had gone off the highway.

According to first responders, initially, it appears the SUV was in the slow lane and a truck in the fast lane and the truck got into a spin, leaving its lane, with the truck flipping.

One southbound lane is closed.

A tow truck is on scene also and traffic disruptions may occur.

There didn't appear to be any injuries.
