Police are investigating a head-on collision that occurred at the intersection of the Trans-Canada Highway and the Cowichan Valley Highway (Highway 18).
On May 28, just after 9 p.m., North Cowichan/Duncan RCMP responded to a report of a motor vehicle incident involving a blue Dodge motorhome and a blue Jeep Wrangler at the intersection.
Early witness reports indicated that the Jeep was travelling south on the TCH when it collided with the motorhome that was travelling north on the TCH and performing a left-hand turn onto Highway 18.
The driver of the Jeep was transported to hospital to be treated for non-life-threatening injuries, while the driver and passenger of the motorhome were also transported to hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.
An RCMP traffic analyst attended the scene while the highway was closed for some time to allow for evidence to be collected.
Criminality is not suspected.
