100 Mile House RCMP responded to a single vehicle collision in the 5000 block of Horse Lake Road as part of the 97 calls-to-service they responded to between Oct. 29 and Nov. 5.
The incident was reported to the RCMP on Nov. 2, said Sgt. Brian Lamb in a news release. They had attended with EHS, where they found the vehicle in the westbound ditch on its driver side.
RCMP said the single occupant of the vehicle was taken to the hospital with undetermined injuries that were non-life threatening. RCMP added the vehicle appeared to have left the roadway going into the ditch, which then struck a raised driveway, causing the vehicle to go airborne before coming to rest in the ditch. RCMP do not believe impairment was a factor and confirmed the cause of the collision is not known.
Theft of truck and a trailer
RCMP received two reports of alleged theft: the first report was received on Oct. 31 of a truck taken from the 5000 block of Park Drive. RCMP said the truck was a white 2007 Ford F350 with a B.C. license plate VM9231, plus a flat deck. Surveillance footage showed an unknown truck dropping off a person in the area at the time of the incident and RCMP suspect that person took the vehicle. On Nov. 3, the vehicle was found abandoned in Likely. RCMP said there are no further descriptors available.
The second report of an alleged theft was received on Nov. 2 of a trailer from Forest Ridge Road. RCMP said a black 2018 dump trailer with BC license plate 02407L was taken and surveillance footage showed a two-tone painted mid 1980s to 1990s Ford pickup towing the trailer from the area. The RCMP also said fuel was later reported taken from a piece of heavy duty equipment in the area. The trailer has not been recovered.
Mischief to a Jeep
RCMP received one report of mischief on Nov. 2 where tires were slashed on a 2015 Jeep Patriot in the parking lot in the 500 block of Cedar Avenue, sometime between 7:00 a.m. and 9:00 p.m.
Breaking and entering
On Nov. 2, RCMP received one report of an attempted break-and-enter into a shed in the 6000 block of Horse Lake Road. RCMP said a door had been partially kicked in but it did not appear that anyone had made entry. RCMP also said surveillance footage in the area depicted a male walking to and leaving in what appeared to be a tan or grey coloured Toyota Tundra.
