Families in Williams Lake have a new option to shop for affordable children’s clothing.
Bambinos Baby Boutique is a new store that sells “pre-loved” baby, toddler and “big kid” clothing located on Broadway Avenue South. The shop is having its grand opening on Sept. 21 from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. and invites the community to stop by for light refreshments.
“I’m nervous but I’m really excited,” said the boutique’s owner Carmen Davis. The idea for the boutique came to her in May after shopping for her newborn niece. She discovered how expensive baby clothing can be and how quickly a child can outgrow them.
“There’s so many good baby clothes in the world (but) we just can’t access them, so I thought I’ll go and get them,” she said.
Since then, Davis said she's gotten great feedback from the community.
"It seems like this is something that we needed."
Davis said the selection for baby clothing is so great that she plans to regularly change the boutique’s stock. At the moment, the boutique will only accept small, gently used donations but Davis plans to also buy clothes from the public in the near future.
Davis is still working out the store’s opening hours and is hoping to hear from customers during the grand opening about what would work for them.
