In this ever-evolving world we live in, it seems the only constant is change.
And the newsroom at the Tribune is no exception to that rule.
Since last spring Black Press, the Tribune’s parent company, started working extra hard with the Tribune staff in Williams Lake to bring multi-media news to our readers –– how and when you want to see it.
For some, that news may come in the traditional form of a newspaper, while for many others on the go, youcould be receiving our news through our website or Facebook page via a mobile device or home computer.
Each method has its advantages and we are endeavouring to give everyone the best product possible, working early in the morning to late at night covering community news and events as we always have.
We have also harnessed the man (or woman) power of Black Press provincially to give readers a greater selection of stories and images online.
Only recently, when we saw some of our readers question our provincial content, did we realize perhaps we didn’t let everyone in on our own scoop.
We are providing these interesting stories in addition to, not in replace of, local news. More local content all the time; added news from around the world.
We believe this evolution is good, and was the reason we were able to report live and in-depth throughout the wildfires while our print product was suspended due to the evacuations.
Our online presence also enables us to give more space to stories when required. Also, our newspaper product allows us to continue on with stories, such as adding to those printed in our recent wildfire publication Firestorm.
In keeping with that spirit, we have decided we are going to continue telling the stories of Firestorm 2017 so stay tuned for more stories.
