PHOTOS: Diwali celebration brings Williams Lake together

Family and friends gathered to celebrate the festival of lights late into the night

This year's festival of lights brought about 300 people together at the Thompson Rivers University - Williams Lake campus.

Dinner and drinks were followed by a dance party which ran late into the night of Oct. 19. As opposed to past years when Diwali celebrations in the lakecity were for women alone, this year Diwali was open to everyone.

There were 28 door prizes to be won, and dinner included a traditional Indian main course catered by Lakeview Tandoori Bistro. Live DJ music was provided by Brown Boys Entertainment.
