First Nations culture and traditions were celebrated at several community events this past week in Williams Lake.

A large team of volunteers has been helping to prepare the rodeo grounds for the 85th annual Williams Lake Stampede coming up next week, June 30 through July 3.

Kassidy Chelsea, Father’s Day Senior Princess crowned at the Williams Lake Indian Band’s annual traditional Father’s Day Powwow held at Chief Will-Yum campsite on Sunday, enjoys some of the dancing at the Aboriginal Day celebrations at Thompson Rivers University Tuesday.
