Saanich released a new video that provides insight into plans for areas such as Quadra McKenzie and Tillicum Burnside.

Saanich has released a new explainer video to help residents understand the Centre, Corridor and Village (CCV) planning process in shaping future growth in the municipality.

The video is aimed at improving public engagement in plans currently underway for the Quadra McKenzie and Tillicum Burnside areas, along with the Shelbourne Valley Action Plan update.

It outlines how CCV plans support the creation of complete communities that include housing, shops, jobs, parks, and public spaces within walking distance.

“This new video… provides residents with a better sense of what their future neighbourhoods could look like,” said Cameron Scott, Saanich’s manager of community planning.

In-person community workshops on the Tillicum Burnside Plan will take place June 22 and 24 at Tillicum Centre (3170 Tillicum Rd.). Online webinars are scheduled for July 8, and an online survey is open until July 14.
