Williams Lake has its New Year’s baby.
A baby boy - Avitaj Sran - was born on Jan. 2 at 10:17 p.m. at Cariboo Memorial Hospital in Williams Lake.
He weighed seven pounds, eight ounces at birth.
Avitaj is the first child born to Rajwinder Kaur and Sanveer Singh.
New dad Sanveer said both baby and mom are doing well.
“It’s amazing,” Sanveer said of the experience.
The couple have lived in Williams Lake a little over a year and moved to the community as the owners of the new restaurant, Lakeview Tandoori Bistro, located in the Ramada.
