It was a full house for the Royal Canadian Legion 139 spring fashion show in Williams Lake.
Held Wednesday, May 21, the event attracted 150 women who enjoyed a meal and a show featuring fashions from three local businesses.
Nancy Giesbrecht was one of the cooks and said they served chicken cordon blue, a rice pilaf, veggies, coleslaw and a lemon cheesecake dessert - all for $25.
Businesses supplying the fashions were Suzanne's, managed by Heather Wolstenhome, Shero Fashion Shed - a home-based business operated by Dora-Lee Wheeldon and CARAbootique, owned by Tara Henry.
"I was definitely privileged to be involved," said Henry, who opened her shop in 2023. "They had not done it for a few years because of Covid. The Legion does an amazing job."
Modelling were sisters Ramona Ludwar and Selina Staples, Alison Barr, Andrea Gustafson, Bev Atkins, Melanie Englebrecht, Christina Bouwknecht, Michelle Schutte, Corry Williams, Deanne Rife, Dora-lee Wheeldon and Heleen Scooby.
Tracy Lynn, an entertainer from 100 Mile House, performed some comedy and songs, getting some of the women onto the dance floor after the fashion show was done.
