The annual Family Fest is coming up in Williams Lake and is a great way for parents and families to learn about the resources available to them.

Hosted by the Women’s Contact Society in conjunction with the Early Childhood Development Network, the free event takes place Saturday, Jan. 20, from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. at the Gibraltar Room.

The event will include activities and information from agencies offering support for families in the region.

Carrie McCormack, program coordinator for the Child Care Resource and Referral Program, said that not everyone realizes the resources available to them, so the event will allow the community to engage with these agencies.

Along with education, there will be prizes and giveaways. Activities will be tailored for families with children between ages two and 10 years old, said McCormack.
