Lifelong learning for folks over 50 in the Cariboo Chilcotin will continue in 2024 thanks to the Cariboo Chilcotin Elder College.

The college offers a range of courses and their Spring 2024 course list is out, with registration and membership on Wednesday, Jan. 17, 2024 at St. Andrew’s Church, 1000 Huckvale Place.

A late registration will also be offered for courses not yet filled on Jan. 24 from 1:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. at the Seniors’ Activity Centre.

The course list is longer than the one offered in the fall, with 19 courses on the list for the Spring 2024 calendar.

Courses to be offered include health-related topics, arts, technology, outdoor activities, and more.

Beginner Quilting will offer some quilting basics to get aspiring textile artists a taste.

Breeding Birds of the Williams Lake River Valley with expert birder Phil Ranson will return, with birders now being able to return to the river valley, which had been closed for a number of years.

Careful and Joyful interactions in Multicultural Community is a course being offered to help ensure good intentions come across in cross-cultural communications. Something to help everyone be more comfortable in an increasingly complicated world of being culturally sensitive.

The Philosophy of Fly Fishing and Fly Tying will touch on philosophy and will include six lessons on fly tying and fishing.

For the entire course list and detailed information, go to https://www.wleldercollege.com/. Registration on Jan. 17 will include refreshments and payment can be made with cash or cheque at both registration dates.
