Get ready for a weekend of music, community and creativity as the annual Seaside Music Festival returns to Sidney from June 20 to 22.

The multi-venue festival promises a vibrant blend of ticketed evening concerts, free daytime performances and engaging music workshops.

This year's diverse lineup showcases some of Canada's most beloved and respected artists, gracing stages at Mary Winspear Centre, veteran's club Army, Navy and Air Force (ANAF) #302 and the scenic Sidney Bandshell at Beacon Park.

The festival kicks off on Friday, June 20, with a free performance at the Sidney Bandshell at 1 p.m. by singer-songwriter Pony Gold, whose debut EP Take Me Somewhere was released in 2023.

After her bandshell performance, Pony Gold joins Shari Ulrich and Roy Forbes at Mary Winspear Centre (7 p.m.).

Country fans can head to ANAF #302 at 7 p.m. on Friday for some 'yee-haw' of a good time with Elise LeBlanc and Whiskey Rover.

Saturday, June 21, promises another day of free music at the Sidney Bandshell at 1 p.m., featuring Shari Ulrich, Hoss Mountain Stringband and folk singer-songwriter Valdy.

Born Valdemar Horsdal in Ottawa, Valdy has been part of the fabric of Canadian pop and folk music for almost 40 years. He has sold almost half a million copies of his 13 albums, has two Juno Awards (Folk Singer of the Year and Folk Entertainer of the Year), a total of seven Juno nominations and four Gold albums to his credit.

That evening, the Charlie White Theatre at the Mary Winspear Centre will fill with the sounds of roots music, headlined by Valdy, alongside Coco Love Alcorn and The Unfaithful Servants (7 p.m.).

Over at ANAF #302, Lester Quitzau and Damian Graham will bring their bluegrass and blues to the stage at 7 p.m.

Beyond the performances, the Seaside Music Festival will also host a series of Master Classes at the Mary Winspear Centre.

Saturday features Making Music that You Love with Adam Bores (10 a.m.), a Songwriting Lecture with Roy Forbes (11:30 a.m.) and a Guitar Masterclass with Adam Bores (1 p.m.).

Sunday offers Ask Me Anything with Valdy (12 p.m.) and Singing Together with Coco Love Alcorn (1:30 p.m.).

Tickets to each Master Class are $25.

Festival tickets are available now at seasidemusic.ca.
