Marilyn Charleyboy is walking from Tsideldel (Alexis Creek) First Nation to Williams Lake to raise awarness about violence in First Nations communities.
She began on Sunday, Sept. 9 and hopes to reach her destination by Friday, Sept. 14.
Before walking she visited Tatlayoko Lake.
There she dipped in the lake to prepare herself spiritually for the walk and gathered some glacier-fed water to drink through the week.
