A Williams Lake women's team and a Quesnel men's team won the Kings and Queens Slo-Pitch tournament at the Esler Complex in Williams Lake on July 5 and 6.
Rowdy Chix of Williams Lake won 26-9 over Acres of Bases from Prince George.
Third place went to Fafo Ladies from Kamloops.
Bears from Quesnel won 13-11 over Fafo from Kamloops, with Shit Show from Williams Lake taking third.
"We had a full tournament of 16 teams for our tournament at the Esler Complex," said Williams Lake Slo-pitch president Linda Barbondy-Rich. "Teams came from Bella Coola, Kamloops, Prince George, Quesnel and our local teams."
On Saturday, the teams played a four-game round robing seeding game.
First place teams won $1,400 plus a $50 Lotto pack, second place got $900 and a $50 Lotto pack, while third place teams won $450 and a $50 Lotto pack, said Barbondy-Rich, adding the next tournament will be the Williams Lake Slo-Pitch League year-end Aug. 14 to 17.
"Right now we are fundraising to build a sunshade picnic shelter between fields one and four and improve our playground," she said.
The Quesnel Mixed Slo-Pitch League will be having a tournament this weekend.
