The annual Oceanside Mother's Day 5K and 10K run was a joyful occasion in Qualicum Beach on May 11. It was another successful event organized by the Oceanside Running Club Association. Participation in the 5K run/walk event was the bigger draw as it had 324 participants and featured some very young runners as well as older folks who still love to run. The event was a fundraiser for the Parksville Haven Society and Forward House.
