After nine weeks of play, the D&D Chili Peppers were crowned the Cariboo 8-Ball League ladies singles champions Dec. 7 during the final day of playoffs.
Held at the Overlander Pub — competing for points individually as a part of a team — competitors squared off in 8-ball play to determine this season’s champions.
When the dust settled it was the team of Ann Whitford, Evelyna Bowe, Wendy Alphonse, Brandy Phillips, Orenda Gilbert and Joan Jeff bringing home the top prize, amassing 83 points in the season standings.

Billy Bob’s Babes finished second with 81 points, while the OV Stars were third with 72, followed by the Legion Dames in fourth (70), the Legion Angles in fifth (65) and Oliver Cue Ts (34) in sixth.
The top 10 players in the league were Orenda Gilbert (20), Brandi Phillips (19), Carrie Phillips (19), Cheryl Chapman (19), Michelle Noskey (19), Tina Jeff (18), Sheena Solomon (17), Evelyna Bowe (16) and Claudelle Youchmans, Evelyn Polishuk, Sally Wynja and Violet Fuller tied with 15 points.
