Bowlers take first in Kelowna

Williams Lake Bowlers were lining up strikes at the 65th Annual Intercity 5-Pin Bowling Championships from March 18-19 at Capri Valley Lanes in Kelowna.

With more than 400 bowlers representing 24 bowling centres from Cranbrook to Prince George, the Williams Lake team put up a strong showing.

The lakecity team bowled very well and finished first in the ‘B’ Division for both the men’s and ladies’ teams.

With the first-place win in the ‘B’ Division, the Williams Lake team finished seventh overall for the aggregate.

As a result, the team will move up to the ‘A’ division at next year’s event.
