Abbotsford Canucks fans have been invited again to The Canadian Brewhouse and Grill at Highstreet Shopping Centre for official watch parties this week, as the club takes on the Colorado Eagles in the Pacific Division final.
Watch parties are scheduled for Wednesday's (May 21) game three and Friday's (May 23) game four. Both games have an opening face-off time of 6:05 p.m.
Previous watch parties have included ticket and merchandise giveaways, a live DJ and an in-game host for the festivities.
The Canadian Brewhouse and Grill is located at 3122 Mt. Lehman Rd. on the west side of Highstreet. The establishment opened its doors in 2016 and is a two-level unit with approximately 180 seats and a roof-top patio. The Abbotsford location was the second B.C. location when it opened. The Canadian Brewhouse and Grill brand entered the market with a location in Edmonton in 2002 and has expanded in the decades that followed.
Fans can also watch the games on the FloHockey app, but that comes with a monthly or annual fee. Games in the last round against the Coachella Valley Firebirds also aired on Sportsnet 650, but radio plans for away games in round three have not yet been released.
The best-of-five series is tied 1-1 after games in Abbotsford on Friday (May 16) and Sunday (May 18). Game one saw the Canucks blank the Eagles 2-0, but Colorado roared back to beat Abbotsford 5-3 in game two. Game five, if necessary, would occur on Memorial Day Monday (May 26) at 2:05 p.m. Abbotsford time.
The Canucks eliminated the Tucson Roadrunners in three games in round one and then took out the Firebirds 3-1 in the Pacific Division semifinal. Colorado earned a round one bye after finishing first in the Pacific Division during the regular season and then defeated the San Jose Barracuda 3-1 in the semifinal round.
Abbotsford won six of the eight meetings the two teams had during the regular season, including a 2-1 win the last time they played back on Feb. 17.
There is recent playoff history between the two teams, as they met in the first round of the 2024 Calder Cup playoffs. The Eagles hosted that series, but Abbotsford walked away with a 2-1 series win. Canucks captain Chase Wouters scored the game three overtime goal to win the game and the series.
