Dear mayor and city council,
The terrible, ongoing, residential fires of California should be a warning to the residents of Vernon.
We urge the council to convert the McMechan Reservoir back to its original state.
The reservoir is strategically located high on the east side of town.
It overlooks Vernon in every direction.
Its potential as an immediate source of water merits examination at the very least.
