In Loving Memory ~
On Wednesday, October 4, 2023, the love of my life, Rhonda Gail Richardson - a loving and talented wife, mother, auntie, and grandmother - passed away at the age of 67.
Rhonda entered the world in the Chilliwack General Hospital on July 8, 1956. Rhonda grew up in Rosedale on her parents' nut farm in the shadow of Mt. Cheam where she was surrounded by dogs and wildlife, both of which she loved her whole life.
Rhonda was predeceased by her parents Nan & Glyn Huntley and daughter Loni. Sister-in-law Candy(Pat) Mcallister.
Rhonda is survived by her husband Jeff Richardson, son, Ian Douglas, grandson Isaiah Douglas, sister Lynn ( Rob) Wiffen, brother Dave(Lu) Huntley, brothers-in-law Jim (Cindy) Richardson, and Paul (Rose) Richardson. Numerous nieces, great, great-great, nephews, great, and great-great.
Over the last year, Rhonda and I talked often about all the good times we had everywhere we went and how blessed we were to have each other, our families and wonderful friends. My love fought hard to the very end but couldn't beat this cancer.
I know family, friends, and dogs were there to greet Rhonda when she crossed over and I know Rhonda will be the first to greet me when my time comes. Rhonda lit up the room when she entered it and everybody that met her loved her.
God Bless you, Rhonda, I will love you forever.
I would like to thank some of the many people who helped us get through this terrible time. Sister Lynn, who went above and beyond the call. Lynn spent most of the summer with us even though all her family is in Williams Lake. I wouldn't have been able to keep Rhonda at home for so long without her.
Rhonda's two special lifelong Friends, Judy Douglas, and Wendy Wegener. They both came and helped Rhonda to laugh and love to the end. Home nurse Mandy, who rescued us from many situations over the last six months. Dr. Basson, Rhonda's friend and family Doctor for over twenty years.
BC Cancer Clinic and their fabulous Doctors and Nurses. Abbotsford Hospital Palliative, the most caring, compassionate Doctors, Nurses and Care Aides I have ever met. This is a few of the many who gave Rhonda and I support the last year, I thank you all from the bottom of my heart.
Rhonda requested no service. Donations to the SPCA in her memory would make her happy.
