January 22, 1976 - February 21, 2025
With heavy hearts, we share the passing of Michael John Bos, who left us unexpectedly on February 21, 2025, in Kamloops, BC, at the age of 49.
Mike was born on January 22, 1976, in Williams Lake, BC, where he spent his childhood. He later moved to Kamloops for his undergraduate studies before pursuing his Doctor of Chiropractic degree in San Jose, California. He returned to Williams Lake in 2002, and as a chiropractor, he dedicated himself to improving the lives of his patients, bringing energy and humour into his work.
Those who knew Mike will remember him as someone who loved to talk, had a huge heart, and never failed to make people laugh. He was entertaining, loud, and full of life, making his presence known in the best way possible. He had a passion for exploring the world and experiencing new adventures, especially when it involved being in the water. Scuba diving was one of his greatest joys, and he loved the thrill of discovering the beauty beneath the ocean's surface.
Above all else, Mike loved his girls—his wife, Allison, and their cherished daughter, Peyton. They were his world and he never missed an opportunity to show it.
He is survived by his parents, John and Norma Bos, and his siblings: Jonathan (Liane), James (Monique), Monieka, and Catherine (Vinni). He was also a proud and loving uncle to many nieces and nephews, who will deeply miss his presence in their lives.
Even in his passing, Mike's final act was one of incredible generosity and heroism—as an organ donor, he gave the gift of life to others, leaving behind a legacy of compassion and selflessness.
Mike lived loudly, laughed often, and loved deeply. His legacy will live on in the countless stories and memories he leaves behind, and in the lives of those he saved through his final act of kindness.
A Celebration of Life will be held in his honour on May 3, 2025, at 2:00 PM in the Gibraltar Room in Williams Lake, BC.
