With great sadness, we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Irene Rose Jasper (née Reynolds), on March 4, 2025. Born on
October 17, 1927, in Wellington, Shropshire, England, Irene immigrated to Meldrum Creek, BC, Canada, as a World War II bride in 1946.
Irene was predeceased by her husband of 43 years, Delmer Jasper, daughters Mary Jasper and Marge Butler, and son-in-law Jack Butler. She is survived by her children: Carol Worthington (James) of Rimbey, Alberta; Wesley (Terry) of Williams Lake, BC; Noreen McDonald (Ed), Patrick (Lorraine), Mike (Connie), and Leland (Geneve), all of Riske Creek, BC. She is also survived by her many grandchildren (17) and great-grandchildren (26).
Irene loved the western lifestyle and spent many years volunteering at various rodeo events throughout the Cariboo. In 2003, she was honoured with a lifetime membership to the Williams Lake Stampede for her dedication and contributions.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, May 10, 2025,
at 11:00 AM at St. Andrew's United Church, 1000 Huckvale Place, Williams Lake, BC. A red rose tea and lunch will follow.
