February 20, 1936 - November 20, 2023
Dad: We will never forget you and we will always love you.
It is with our deepest regret that we announce the passing of our beloved husband and father Henry "Harry" Leo Preeper. Harry passed away in the presence of his family members on November 20th at Cariboo Memorial Hospital.
Harry moved to British Columbia from his birthplace, Lantz Siding, Nova Scotia, in 1968 at the age of 32. After working for several years at logging camps and for McGillis and Gibbs pole yard as a scaler, Harry found employment with Jacobson Brothers Forest Products in the1980's where he worked up until his retirement.
He enjoyed playing and watching baseball and hockey, especially the Toronto Blue Jays and Vancouver Canucks. Harry enjoyed the outdoors, hunting and fishing, camping, playing his guitar and singing for friends and family.
Harry and Louise spent many hours camping with Harry's close friends Kenny and Connie DeForge and their family. He loved the Christmas holidays and looked forward to having fun and socializing with friends and family during this very special time of year.
Often you could find Harry and his wife Louise of 60 years enjoying the slot machines at the local casino.
Harry was a hard worker, a loyal, loving husband, a devoted father, and an excellent provider. He provided a silent strength and a gentle loving warmth to our family, he will be sorely missed and forever be on our minds, in our hearts and in our memories.
Harry is survived by his wife Louise Preeper, sister Rose Molnar and brother Herbie Preeper, sons David Preeper (Vivian), William Preeper (Fransisca), daughter Crystal Armes (Bryce) and Grandchildren Nolan and Owen Preeper, Ashley Hugill (Ash) and Katie Armes.
Memorial Services will be held in the spring and will be announced at a later date.
In Lieu of flowers please make donations to the National Citizens Inquiry.
