We will be celebrating the life of our Mom Gail on June 7th at 2pm at the Miocene Hall. Mom was born Gail Dianne Taylor on August 22, 1946 to Carville and Rozzie Taylor in Halifax Nova Scotia.
She grew up around Nova Scotia and Ontario before moving to BC. She lived around Chilco Lake, Riske Creek, Kersley then moving to Horsefly. This is where she met our dad, William (Bill) Branch. They were married in Williams Lake on December 23, 1963. They had two children Linda and Richard. Dad passed away May 1982. Mom remarried in 1994 to Dan Simmons and divorced in 2015.
Gail had a few hobbies. She loved researching her family history. Knitting, crocheting, quilting and her newest passion was painting. Playing her guitar was something she had done since I was a small child. At family gatherings Mom always would bring out her guitar and play us some tunes.
Gail is survived by her brother Steven and sister Cindy (Gord) and half-brothers Colin and Cameron. Sorrily Steven passed away one month after Mom. Children Linda (Cam), Richard (Shannon) step sons Eric (Megan) and Wade (Kelly).
Grandchildren Colten (Lindsay), Parker (Jenna), Wyatt (Alexandra), Taylor, Mason, Jack and Nathan.
Great Grandchildren Alex and Abby.
Gail also leaves behind many other family members and friends.
