It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Don Hanson, age 84 years.
He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and a friend to many.
Don is survived by his wife, Lynn Hanson of 66 years, Daughters Debbie Russell (Phil), and Cindy Bremner (Murray).
Two sisters Carol Sauve (Dwain) and Shirley Hartford. He was a proud grandfather to four grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
A dedicated community member, Don loved playing softball from 1960 to the 2020s. He served as General Manager for the Stampeder Hockey Club for 26 years, and a volunteer fireman for the Williams Lake fire department for 45 years. He worked for Dairyland for 45 years, building lifelong relationships along the way.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Williams Lake Fire Department in honor of Don's many years of service.
There will be no service as Don had requested, he will be deeply missed by all.
