Don Krause

March 29, 1939 - November 22, 2018
In Loving Memory ~
Don was born in Merritt in March 29th 1939 and left this world in November 22nd 2018. Don Krause was known for his infectious laugh, since his retirement he did anything but slow down.
In addition to his many volunteer activities he loved to spend time with family and friends. He had that restlessness in him that always made him want to move. After moving around all over BC and Alberta he moved to Terrace in 1982 where he finally met his wife Mavis's many many relatives. He really got a kick out of being related to everyone he met in Hazelton and Prince Rupert.
Don was a true character who could light up a room when he walked in. He lived life with a purpose. He had a dynamic and energetic personality and a unique ability to connect with everyone he met.
His quirky and uplifting sense of humor brought a smile to every interaction and always left a lasting impression.
Don was really proud of his daughters.
Cheryl who graduated Royale Roads University with a Masters degree in leadership and is the author of many international sold books which was published by Linda Eastman of the Professional Women's Network.
Annette who graduated from Simon Fraser University with a Masters degree in leadership. She earned the Governor General Award of Canada and teaches law and business administration at Terrace college.
Tracy Dutton love for nature, natural medicine and her love for cooking is something to be enjoyed by everyone. She has a love for everyone and her hearty laughter can light up any room.
Don never forgot Williams Lake and Soda Creek where he grew up, as these places brought him happy memories.
Don Krause had 10 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. When people talked with Don...they felt loved, seen and heard. He truly valued building relationships.
He was married to Mavis for over 53 years. She was the love of his life. I am sure that when Don Krause thinks of Mavis...it brings a smile to his face.
We will always love and miss Don. His values and beliefs will remain with us. Thank you Don for your beautiful presence on earth.
