In loving memory ~
On July 21, we said goodbye to a man who was physically larger than life but never wanted the spotlight or attention on him.
He was born in Toronto, ON, to Marjorie and Albert, the fourth child in the family after Frank, Wally and George, and his younger sister, Ronni.
While in Teacher's College, he met and fell in love with his wife of 46 years, Rosaleen (Dec. 1948-Oct. 2016).
He was the second person to own a home computer in the Williams Lake area, and as an educator, strongly advocated for computer classes in schools in the district. He knew computers were the way of the future.
When he left teaching as a profession, he took his personal passion into the commercial world, operating "The Computer Shop" then "Stardate Computers" and finally "Geeks on the Go Technical Services" which he operated until 2021.
He practiced his Christidelphian faith regularly with his Brothers and Sisters in Christ in either a private home setting or more recently, via an online connection to gather with faithful friends near and far; he appreciated each one of the people who took the time to share in their faith with him.
He had the joy of seeing 3 children, Jennifer, Evan and Megan grow into adulthood and add grandchildren Sarah, Kai, Mackenzie, Shae and Logan to our growing family tree. He will be sorely missed as a brother, brother-in-law, father, father-in-law, grandfather, uncle and friend.
A Celebration of Life is scheduled for October 23, 2023, at the Central Cariboo Arts Centre (90 Fourth Avenue North, Williams Lake) at 1 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, please donate to the Heart and Stroke foundation or Diabetes Canada.
