In loving memory ~
With heavy hearts we announce that Bryan Tracy McElroy passed away peacefully at home on May 17, 2025, surrounded by family. Bryan was born at home in Los Angeles, California to Ruth Emma and Elmer Tracy McElroy on May 25, 1966. Bryan lived a full and adventurous life and was a devoted husband, son, brother, uncle and friend, loved for his sharp wit, mischievous humour, endless "zingers" and the rapid rubbing of his hands together before delivering his perfectly timed line.
Bryan had an eclectic and energetic career path, starting at McDonalds - where he met the love of his life, Laura Mae, moving up to management at the Keg and then onto the Fraser Inn in Williams Lake. On weekends you could find him DJing which combined nicely with his photography, offering his services for families, weddings, pet and youth soccer team photos, while also running a photo lab. Bryan then pivoted into owning and operating his own business. Computer Repair on Wheels ("CROW") until his retirement in 2017. He brought creativity and hustle to everything he did.
Bryan found joy in the outdoors ~ fishing, camping, dirt biking, skiing and snowmobiling to name only a few. He cherished his vacations to Ixtapa, Mexico, with more than a dozen trips, bringing along family and friends to make beautiful memories. He had a sophisticated palate, and enjoyed good food and wine and wide variety of music.
Bryan is survived by his loving wife Laura Mae, his mother Ruth Emma, his brother Bruce (Cathy), sister Alicia (Roger) Barker, his mother-in-law, Barbara Joan Bradley, his sisters-in-law, Andrea Connor and Michelle Rickard, as well as his nieces and nephews and many more extended family and his many friends. He was predeceased by his father, Elmer Tracy and his father-in-law, Henry Ernest Rickard.
A Celebration of Life will be held July 12, 2025 from 11:00 - 3:00 pm at the Williams Lake Rod & Gun Club on 920 Bond Lake Road. Bryan will be lovingly remembered for his resilience, his humour and his deep love for family and friends as well as his unshakeable spirit. He lived life on his own terms and left a lasting impact on all who met him.
