In Loving Memory ~
Good byes were said to Blaine Fisher on May 27, 2023 at Farwell Canyon by Blaine's wife Kathy, son Marland and stepdaughter Catrina. Also present was daughter in law Marcia Fisher, son in law Pascal Diard, grandchildren Kelsey Shatula, Adam Shatula and wife Fonda, Along with close friends Caroline Palmantier and Wayne Burke, Dale Bowers, Clay Palmantier and Sandra Polmbi.
The location was previously chosen by Blaine to remember his brother Wayne who was tragically taken, while "Cowboying", and taken by the flash flood of 1962 but was never recovered.
Blaine loved the area so much and wanted to honor the cowboy history of which Blaine, Wayne and their father, Milt Fisher were proud to be a part of, while working for the Gang Ranch, at the time.
Although Blaine and Milt eventually moved to Alberta, their lives and hearts still carried the spirit and values of the Chilcotin. Blaine grew up wanting to be a cowboy and he lived that every day being a true cowboy at heart, whether he was training colts or driving a truck.
Blaine is survived by his wife Kathy, son Marland (Marcia), his daughter Lisa (Steve) Hollingberry of Mexico, Step daughter Catrina (Pascal) Diard, grandchildren Ted Yoshizawa, Sara Yoshizawa, Brandon Fisher, Kelsey Shatula, and Adam Shatula (Fonda)
We Thank Clay Palmantier along with the members of the Toosey 1st Nations Band and the Douglas Lake Cattle Co. for their understanding and assistance to help make this location possible.
