Residents are being asked to be cautious when walking the trails at Scout Island in the coming days and weeks after several reports of a black bear seen on the south island.
There are unconfirmed reports of a bear sighting on scout island this am. The conservation office has been notified and @CityWL residents are asked to be alert when in area and keep animals close.

Witnesses were quick to post to social media to warn walkers to be careful as did City staff.
Walkers in the area are asked to be mindful and keep pets close and on a leash.
