The suspect arrested in connection with Monday's shooting incident which prompted city-wide school closures and a residential lockdown was scheduled to make his first court appearance Wednesday.
According to court documents, Xavier Sky Kalelest is charged with possessing an unauthorized firearm, having a loaded/unloaded prohibited or restricted firearm with ammunition, wilfully resisting or obstructing a peace officer and mischief endangering life.
Kalelest is currently in police custody and will address the charges in Williams Lake Provincial Court.
