The Quesnel Climate Action group is hosting a regional forum at the College of New Caledonia on April.
Anyone interested in citizen-based ideas and projects to make our communities more self-sufficient is encouraged to attend.
Tamara Sunsong from the Victoria Transition Town (TT) will present an overview of this model of how local citizens can come together to create positive changes.
The goal is to create more locally based economies where more citizens are involved in meeting their own needs.
The afternoon of the forum will be dedicated to short presentations about what local groups are undertaking and a chance for groups to look for ways to co-operate as a region on meeting common goals.
The college is waiving the rental fees and the group is asking participants to bring a bag lunch so that the cost of the forum can be kept down.
