McLeese Lake Recreation Society to receive $30,000

The Cariboo Regional District will provide up to $30,000 of community works funding to the McLeese Lake Recreation Society for renovations and energy improvements to the McLeese Lake Community Hall.

The Cariboo Regional District will provide up to $30,000 of community works funding to the McLeese Lake Recreation Society for renovations and energy improvements to the McLeese Lake Community Hall.

Projects include lighting upgrades, installing insulation to the outside walls and, if possible, any other related minor repairs.

The lighting upgrades will improve the energy efficiency of the building, resulting in annual energy savings of approximately 4,800 KWH.

The new insulation will increase the R-value of the building envelope, resulting in increased energy efficiency.

On The Road Again

On June 16 and 17, the CRD board of directors will travel to the 150 Mile House Community Hall for the first of two Board on the Road events for 2011.

Residents of Area F will be treated to a community barbecue on Thursday, June 16 from 5 to 7 p.m. while the regularly scheduled board meeting will take place on Friday morning starting at 9:30 a.m. All residents are welcome to attend.
