Cariboo Regional District town hall meetings continue this weekend so the public can provide input on the CRD’s proposed 2011 budget and five-year capital plan.
The next meetings take place Saturday at Kwaleen Elementary School (for Area E), and at Bouchie Lake Community Hall (for Area B) between 1 and 3:30 p.m.
Town hall meetings for other areas of the region are scheduled as follows:
• Jan. 24: Area A — Kersley Community Hall, 6-8:30p.m.
• Jan. 25: Area J — Anahim Lake Community Hall, 6-8:30 p.m.
• Jan. 26: Area K – Big Creek Community Hall, 6-8:30 p.m.
• Jan. 27: Area I — Nazko Community Hall, 6-8:30 p.m.
• Jan. 29: Area L – Interlakes Community Hall, 1-3:30 p.m.
• Jan. 31: Area C – Barlow Creek Community Hall, 6-8:30 p.m.
• Jan: 31: Area G — Lac La Hache Community Hall, 6-8:30 p.m.
• Feb 3: Wells – Council Chambers, 6-8:30 p.m.
• Feb 8: Quesnel – Council Chambers, 6-8:30 p.m.
• Feb 9: Area F – Miocene Community Hall, 6-8:30 p.m.
• Feb 10: Williams Lake – Council Chambers, 6-8:30 p.m.
The CRD says the meetings are designed to explain the CRD’s budgets for the services that it provides to regional district residents.
The sessions will also outline new or expanded services being introduced in 2011 along with an opportunity to talk about community services and general issues with the CRD Directors and staff.
