The Municipal elections are well underway in Williams Lake.
At the first advanced voting opportunity in lakecity this week 387 voters cast their ballots, keeping with the usual average for the local elections. The city encourages everyone who is able to come vote in this years election.

“We encourage all eligible voters to come out and vote,” says Cindy Bouchard, Chief Election Officer. “The next advance voting opportunity is Wednesday, October 17 from 8 am to 8 pm at City Hall, 450 Mart Street, and general voting day is Saturday, October 20 from 8 am to 8 pm at the Marie Sharpe Gym, 260 Cameron Street.”
BC Transit will be providing free bus rides to polling stations on Oct. 20.
