A number of Cariboo archers were the recipients of some recognition recently, care of the B.C. Archery Association Junior Olympian Program.
"These youngsters have all been progressing through the program and have all attained indoor target scores that should be lauded," said Al Campsall, one of their coaches.
"The scores are too numerous for us to include, but we are proud of all of them," he said.
The Junior Olympian Program in Williams Lake is organized and overseen by Cariboo Archers volunteer coaches who are provincially certified. The program aims to support young archers by recognizing their achievements and giving encouragement for improvements.
The program supports comradery and builds community. The Junior Olympian Program usually begins in October and takes place Thursday evenings and is open to youth from eight years old to 20. For more information, contact wlsajop@gmail.com or go to https://wlsa.ca/caribooarchers.
